ACINS
Association of Community Interpreters of Nova Scotia ( ACINS )
Is a registered voluntary membership association for practicing community interpreters who are formally affiliated to interpreting service providing organizations in NS. The Association has its own governing board, by-laws and maintains the directory of member interpreters. The Association is a venue for learning, dialogue, support and advocacy for community interpreters and interpreting in Nova Scotia.
Vision
The Association, by bringing together the community of interpreters in Nova Scotia, develops, promotes and advocates for professional standards in the field of community interpreting.
Mission
The Association supports community interpreters who provide language interpretation services to newcomers as well as to service providers in Nova Scotia.
